I have a wide range of experience.
I starting life doing a physics degree, and, almost immediately, moved to writing humorous songs and talks for the BBC. I then developed a musical, stand-up comedy show with which I toured the UK and Europe for eight years. I completed a three-year graduate marketing course with British Steel before moving on to write for businesses.
My copywriting, speechwriting and scriptwriting is all business-led. Business objectives are central to everything I write. I do not write copy to show off my vocabulary! I prefer to keep everything as simple and direct as possible.
I’m as comfortable talking to CEOs of major financial institutions as I am talking to scientists and engineers or onsite foremen. I can ask the right questions and distil the key information from what they have to say.
